Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri today expressed his gratitude and excitement after participating in the well-organized local government polls conducted by the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC). The Governor praised the high voter turnout and the enthusiastic spirit of the electorate.
“It gladdens my heart to see such a high turnout. People are happy, and the spirit is high. This is a testament to our commitment to democratic processes and the active participation of our citizens,” said Governor Fintiri.
The Governor also highlighted the significance of the elections in fostering new leadership and encouraging youth participation in government. “I am particularly excited that new leaders will emerge from this process, and our young ones should expect more opportunities for involvement in government. We are dedicated to nurturing them to become the future leaders of our state,” he stated.
Governor Fintiri assured the public of his administration’s commitment to developing well-rounded, intellectually sound politicians by the end of his tenure in 2027. “By the time we are leaving office, we will have left behind a legacy of well-grown and intellectually sound politicians ready to lead Adamawa State into the future,” he concluded.
The successful conduct of the local government polls marks a significant step in Adamawa State’s journey towards strengthening democratic governance and promoting inclusive political participation.
